AWARDS
Specific criteria was used in the process of selecting both semifinalists and finalists:
*   The criteria for selecting the semifinalists included leadership (10%), scholarship (20%), innovative ability in research and capability in curricular affairs (25%), activity in student and community affairs (15%), communication skills (20%), and growth potentials (10%).
*   Semifinalists were asked to submit a technical paper. Three to six finalists were selected from each category based on the above criteria and the technical paper quality. Finalists were invited (travel and lodging expenses paid by SAMPE) to the International SAMPE Symposium in Long Beach, CA where they presented papers in competition in their respective categories for cash awards of up to $1000 or trips to SAMPE Europe or SAMPE Japan conferences.
Both CBE winners are SAMPE members and were full time students in residence working on thesis or dissertation research at the time this event took place.
Congratulations to our SAMPE winners!
