Julianne Holloway Wins 1st Place Award of MESD Poster
Session at 2011 AICHE Annual Meeting
Julianne Holloway, a PhD Candidate in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, advised by Professor Palmese and co-advised by Professor Lowman, won the First Place award of Materials Engineering and Sciences Division Poster Session at 2011 AICHE Annual Meeting. Julianne did excellent work in her poster "Analysis of the In Vitro Swelling Behavior of Poly(vinyl alcohol) Hydrogels In Osmotic Pressure Solution for Soft Tissue Replacement". This year, there were over 60 posters for this competition and only truly exceptional posters were awarded. Julianne received an award certificate and a cash prize from MESD.
