Dr. Kenneth Lau's Surface Science and Thin Films Lab uses chemical vapor
deposition as a tool for making thin films for widespread applications.

Chemical vapor deposition is a one step, solvent free, surface polymerization technique
which yields conformal coatings to be used in diverse applications ranging from
drug delivery and tissue engineering to fuel cell membranes.
